PHYSIOTHERAPY

Restoring and improving physical mobility and movement.

Physiotherapy is a crucial healthcare discipline, particularly vital in sports, musculoskeletal health, pre and postnatal, and pelvic care.

Physiotherapists play a pivotal role in restoring movement and function for those affected by injury, illness, or disability. This holistic approach integrates various modalities, such as movement, exercise, manual therapy, education, and practical advice, expertly administered by skilled physiotherapists.

Whether recovering from injury or aiming to boost performance, mastering efficient and confident movement is key, guided by the expertise of a physiotherapist. Physiotherapy, championed by these adept professionals, stands as a transformative force, emphasizing the influential role of movement-focused care in holistic well-being.

Post Natal Assessment

Post Natal Assessment is a person oriented, evidenced based approach to pelvic health, pelvis and spine. It is a thorough and in-depth assessment of all issues related to pregnancy and childbirth done by a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist. Completely individual to you, the consultation includes an exam of your pelvic floor, pelvis, sacroiliac joint & lumbar spine, abdominals & scar tissue.

Our pelvic health physiotherapist Courtney will assist you with rehabilitation to achieve safe and effective return to exercise, ensuring you feel knowledgeable and empowered about your body as you navigate motherhood.

Our post natal assessment is recommended for women following both vaginal and caesarean deliveries, whether 6 weeks, 8 weeks, or even many years after birth.

Sports Physiotherapy

In the sphere of sports and musculoskeletal health, physiotherapists play a pivotal role in the prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of injuries, focusing on athletes and enthusiasts. Our physiotherapists employ their extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics to assess, diagnose, and treat a spectrum of sport related conditions.

Combining modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and sports-specific rehabilitation programs, we can address musculoskeletal issues with precision. Whether facilitating the recovery of athletes from acute injuries or designing performance enhancement strategies, physiotherapists contribute significantly to optimising physical function and promoting overall well-being.

Their hands-on approach, coupled with evidence-based practices, not only manages injuries but also emphasizes preventive measures and health promotion.

“I recently saw Courtney for a pelvic health assessment after having a c-section with my first baby. Courtney was so professional, thorough and comforting. She put me totally at ease and since our appointment I’ve noticed a considerable improvement in how I feel. Knowledge is power and investing in this post childbirth was a must”. - Alice

“I've been going to OM for pelvic floor physiotherapy - before and after giving birth. I thoroughly recommend seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist if you suffer from a prolapse or incontinence. It's now been 4 months PP and I am able to run safely with no symptoms - I owe this to proper post natal physiotherapy and rehabilitation.”- Ines
